The Many Sides of Karson

Our little man is quite the character. He's especially "full of character" between 7-10 (sometimes midnight) every night. We've tried everything, but it seems as though when we want to keep him awake (early evening so he sleeps at night), he falls asleep (exhibit A) and when we want him to fall asleep, he SCREAMS until he passes out mid yell (exhibit B). Regardless, all of his different sides of him are fun!

Exhibit A: After 2 nights of a 12:20 am bedtime, we cut his early evening nap in the hopes of getting an early bedtime. Rob used all of his favorite toys to try and keep him awake for 30 more minutes, but as you can he, he was not interested.



Exhibit B: After HOURS or screaming, he finally gave up mid scream. I heard him stop in the nursery and Rob walked out to ask me if he was asleep. I would say YES.

We Love Fall!

After seeing flurries yesterday, it's very evident that winter is breathing down our necks. So glad we had a warm day last week to have fun in the leaves! Also, nothing says October like Halloween!

New Discoveries

Karson is learning that there's more to life than eating and getting his diaper changed...see below for his new discoveries! (Someday he'll learm that sleep is really fun. Probably in college.)

 

 

He recently learned that the mobile that cousin Ella let us borrow is SUPER FUN! So much fun that he decided he would either practice kicking for future soccer games or do the Irish jig. It's hard to tell.

Busy Week!

We've had a busy week! Lots of playing and more sleeping (in the day of course!) As you can see he's aging a lot like the rest of us  -- chubbier and losing his hair! (He's now over 11 pounds.)

Weekend Fun = Monday Fogginess

Some days I have to combine breakfast and lunch because by the time I realize what time it is, it's 11 and I end up having cereal as my "appetizer" and a sandwich for lunch. Today I realized that my brunch was a little rough because I found the dog treats in the fridge and the Wheat Thins by the dog food.


Some of you already know, this seems to be a reoccuring theme for me. Back in the first few weeks, I took Karson on his first outing at a coffee shop and came home and realized I was wearing these:

Hopefully, by the time I go back to work I will be wearing two of the same shoes and not packing my lunch with dog treats.
